HOW IT WORKS

Building your custom dream home is MUCH easier than you think! We’ve created a simple, six-step process that will take you from your first appointment to move-in day!

  1. INITIAL DESIGN MEETING

    Is Prairie Homes Omaha the builder for you? Our building professional will meet with you to discuss YOUR dream home, financing specifications, design details and location preference.

  2. FINANCING

    We’ll secure your construction loan, pay all necessary fees and cover the interest throughout the build process. For personal financing, we can provide information on our local partners if you’d like additional options. The upfront costs will vary between $20K-$25K, made in a series of payments at the start of plan drawing through the time that we break ground!

  3. RENDERING

    According to the details of the initial meeting, your new home is brought to life room-by-room, utilizing our in-house drafting service. During the final plan review we’ll cover any remaining details of the home, one final time. Next, we’ll create a construction schedule. Finally, we’ll sign the purchase agreement – your plans are set, and we break ground! The timeframe from breaking ground to closing on your DREAM home is typically six months.

  4. MEET THE DESIGNER

    Jesika Forsman, from Metro Design Interiors, will assist in the navigation of selecting all the design elements for your home, while keeping within your budget. You’re always welcome to visit your home during construction – however, please be aware that at certain times prior to the drywall phase, the build site may be unsafe.

  5. GET READY TO MAKE THE MOVE

    Putting all the pieces together! We’re happy to assist in the coordination, marketing and selling of your current home. Our local real estate partner is available to guide you through this process.

  6. MOVE-IN DAY!

    About six months after ground-breaking, you’ll receive the keys to your DREAM home! Should something happen once you’ve taken ownership of your new low-maintenance home, our warranty service is top-notch! Unlike most builders, we provide an in-house warranty specialist to tackle any challenges that may arise, so you can rest easy knowing that we’ve got your back!
